250cc Action!

Larry ward grabbed the holeshot, after only just making the LCQ due to an engine swap. The Honda 450 hooking up fantastically on the very grippy Georgia soil. Unfortunately, he slowly slipped back through the race, dropping it on the second last lap to drop him back to 16th at the end.

Ezra Lusk dropped it in the whoops early, but continued to circulate attempting to get any points possible, ending up finishing 19th.

McGrath to KTM

From www.motocrossactionmag.com

Reports have now been confirmed that Jeremy McGrath has in fact signed a letter of intent with Factory KTM. One of the biggest surprises of the silly season, McGrath can now call the orange team his home. MC felt that a switch of teams might re-launch his career after falling victim to Ricky Carmichael the past two Supercross seasons. It is reported that McGrath has signed a four-year deal with the Austrian factory team, two years riding Supercross and the last two years doing R & D testing. Jeremy also had offers from Kawasaki, Yamaha, and Suzuki, with Yamaha and Suzuki truly stepping up to the plate. However, the main reason McGrath chose KTM was because his lap times on the 2003 prototype 250 were two seconds a lap faster than any other bike he rode.
