i think that 4 strokes gettin faster than 2 strokes is a whole bunch of crap. Oh sure an xr650 can beat a kx500 or cr500 but if u have a 650 4stroke and a 650 two stroke then the 2stroke will win no probs.
I think the only reason y ppl r gettin 4 strokes is cuz they r jus way 2 sic of maintainin their bike. I dont blame them, but wat fun is it in having a dirtbike when u dont get to fix it 2? U break it in the middle of the desert and u wont no wat to do. Ull just b standin there waiting for someone to come to help u. if i were u start out with a 4 stroke then move up to a two stroke, ull at least have the experience with both types of engines.
Ok im 16 years old around 6 foot ...i OWN a ttr-125 cause its my first bike. I feel really stupid and really bad because of all the 14 year old kids who have been riding since they were like ...6 (no offense,im happy for you :) your lucky) Anyway It feels fine to me but i have no basis for comparison and like i said im about 6 foot but im hearing from people around 5'6" or so saying its to SMALL for them ...Im wondering if i made a wrong choice in bike

Last week I clock my bike at 60 up through a neigborhood and today I clocked it at 50 but I was beating the kid that I was racing so I was atleast going 55. I pulled the air restictor out of the air box and that gives it more power. I love the ttr but I can't wait to go bigger. Say, what do you think about a FMF powercore 4 on a ttr 125l?
Have you ever ridden one sure there not the fastest bikes but if you know how to ride and can use the bike to its full potential like me then its a great bike.

The TTR125 is a good bike for a beginner I had one for 4 months then I moved up to a YZ125.
