I'm a big fan of Douglas Adams, and tonight when looking through some old jokes I've received in the past, I found the gem below. I live in Australia, and lots of the things are true. For example, there are actually LOTS of snakes in Australia as well. Even if Douglas Adams didn't write it, its worth a read ;-)
Well, the automated posting of news is going ok now. I should have just fixed it so that it only says "1 item", not "1 items".
Those of you who are regular visitors will have noticed that I've moved things around on the site again. You can still access the full news list from the "News" link at the top of the page, but I didn't like it as the main page.
Why? well, no comments could be made about the news items, the news wasn't searchable and the news items did not get automatically emailed to people with notification set on.
Wow, if the response to this poll is any indication - 250 four strokes -, then the manufacturers that have 250 four strokes for sale are in for a boom. But I wonder will that be at the expense of 125 sales, 450 sales, or something else?
Interesting to see that the Yamaha and Honda are so popular. I guess that the Yamaha is proven reliable, the Honda has a big brother which is reliable, but the KX & RM are yet to stand the test of time.
Looking for a good off road tire. (If that is possible for DOT.) I have 2002 drz400s. My first set of tires was a Dunlop D606 rear and 905F front. What I have learned in 3 1/2 years of riding is this. These tires are good for hard dirt and thats about it. When it comes wet or muddy condition they suck!! They don't release mud. Any help would save me another 2 years of riding on bad tires.
We've just updated the dirtbike.ws site to the latest drupal release. Unfortunately, there was a little downtime on the site while that occurred. Things should be back to normal now, with some new features already available, and more to come! ;-)
Some time ago, I purchased two DVD's from Amazon, with a view to reviewing them and putting the review on the dirtbike site. Work, and other things much less fun than riding have since conspired to keep me away from watching the DVD's fully, and doing the review.
So, much delayed though it is (for me at least), here is my review of BillyOShow Products PeeWee Bandits and Pw2Pro.
After I purchased the WR250F last year, I quickly found that the stock handguards tend to produce very curly brake and clutch levers if you dropped the bike. This prompted me to fit some UFO MX style handguards.
I've been very happy with these guards, they've been bent, bashed, squished, mushed, all the while protecting my fingers from all but the hardest hits, which they also reduced significantly.

Since our current poll is about minibikes, I thought that the time was right to write a little bit about them.
If you want a cool 50cc minibike, is there anything out there other than the Honda XR50? The Yamaha PW50 just doesn't cut it, and Suzuki & Kawasaki just have PW50 clones.
Honda seem to have cornered this market. simply by being the only one there. They must be looking at the increasing popularity of these bikes, and rubbing their hands together! After all, that 50cc engine has got to be 15 years old!
